What you’ll experience

Discover the relaxing rhythm of hand weaving and the beauty of slow craft. With a simple frame loom, you’ll learn the basic techniques of weaving: how to set up the warp, choose yarns, create textures and patterns, and slowly build your own textile. 

Step by step, you’ll create a small woven artwork to take home.

No previous experience is needed. Weaving is intuitive, calming, and a wonderful way to connect with handmade tradition and ourselves.

The space

Our studio, Traisto, is a small and welcoming slow-craft workshop in Nafplio, set under the castle and next to the park. You’ll work next to our large floor loom, surrounded by handwoven textiles, naturally dyed fabrics, and beeswax candles.
